The Deal

The PwC M&A team is pleased to announce the successful sale of Hörsysteme Häusler GmbH (“Hörsysteme Häusler”) to OHRWERK Hörgeräte GmbH. PwC M&A acted as exclusive financial advisor together with PwC Legal (Legal M&A advice) to the private shareholders. Hörsysteme Häusler is a leading specialised retailer of audiology equipment such as hearing aids in Nordrhein-Westfalen. The acquisition of the company is a major step for OHRWERK to continue the consolidation of the German audiology market and marks the entrance of OHRWERK into this part of Germany.

The share purchase agreement was signed in April 2022 and the transaction closed in May 2022.

Hörsysteme Häusler 

Hörsysteme Häusler is a specialised retailer for audiology equipment such as hearing aids headquartered in Salzkotten, Germany. The company has more than 40 employees and operates 15 stores in the area around Salzkotten. The company was founded in 2001. 

OHRWERK Hörgeräte

OHRWERK Hörgeräte is a portfolio company of NORD Holding, a German Mid-Market private equity investor. The company was founded in 2020 and aims to consolidate the German market for audiologists. Currently more than 70 stores located in Western and Southern Germany are part of the group.
