Alpha (the target) is based in the Czech Republic and primarily manufactures cables applied in vehicles and produced by leading OEM manufacturers globally. Furthermore, Alpha manufactures flexible cables for e.g. white goods and wholesalers, as well as special cables.
The M&A team of PricewaterhouseCoopers Statsautoriseret Revisionspartnerselskab (“PwC Denmark”) together with the support of PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH WPG (“PwC Germany”) acted as financial adviser to nkt cables. This transaction was run as a competitive sales process with international investors and gives a testimony to our ability to provide effective cross border M&A-advice.
nkt cables (the seller) develops, manufactures and markets high-end cables, cable accessories and cable solutions for a number of purposes, and is a global market-leading supplier to the energy sector. nkt cables is owned by NKT Holding, a company listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange (CPSE:NKT).
Wilms (the buyer) is a Germany-based leading cable, wire and machinery manufacturer. The company employs approx. 6,500 people worldwide.
