Learn more about your S/4HANA cloud readiness with our two-step assessment

With our PwC S/4HANA Deployment Assessment, we validate your readiness for a cloud-based S/4HANA solution. Therefore we analyze your technical and functional prerequisites to identify potential challenges for the implementation project. The assessment is based on our knowledge of the different S/4HANA deployment options as well as our experience of multiple  S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition implementation projects we performed for our clients. With this experience we support you at an early stage on your way to implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

“The PwC Deployment Assessment is such an important initial step towards the Cloud for all our clients. It ultimately gives them a high level of confidence to have made the right decision. Simply put, it helps to answer the one question a lot of organisations have in common: Am I really ready to move into the (Public) Cloud?”

S/4HANA Deployment Assessment

Using the PwC developed tool, we validate the most suitable operating model for the company in question with our Deployment Assessment. We use a catalog of questions to check the requirements of the operating model with the highest level of standardization. We can then determine how standardizable each company is and use this to recommend an operating model, the most appropriate S/4HANA deployment option.

In the presentation of our results key findings will be presented to you by using a dashboard which provides you a high-level overview of cloud readiness, standardization potential and deployment options as well as detailed information regarding possible showstoppers and drivers of complexity.

Together we discuss the selection of an operating model, the detailed information regarding the defined solution scope of the SAP S/4HANA system (scope), any critical findings, and a summary of the challenges together with must-have requirements per Line of Business.

The dashboard forms the foundation for the selection of an operating model. Furthermore it provides insights to critical processes within the transformation and thus identifies the relevant topics for deep dive workshops. Overall this shortens the time needed for the Fit-to-Standard Workshop period as we can concentrate on the critical findings, hence speeding up the transformation.

With the PwC S/4HANA Deployment Assessment we support you in your first step into the SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

SAP S/4HANA Deployment Assessment – an overview

Joint answering of central questions

Based on our lessons learned from various SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition implementation projects, we have developed central questions that we discuss with you in an initial workshop. In doing so, we address your individual questions and, if required, clarify unresolved issues.

For example:

  • What does my AS-IS landscape look like?
  • What is my company's SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition culture like?
  • Am I ready to standardize my business processes?

From the PwC S/4HANA Deployment Assessment to SAP’s Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA)

How can these two tools complement each other?

The Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA) is an important tool from SAP that is often used by SAP presales to evaluate whether SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition is right for your business. The objective is to identify the required scope items, country versions and interfaces.

  • Identification of integration and interface requirements and planned country versions.
  • Consideration of the available scope items according to the country versions. For example, finance related scope items are listed with names and a short explanation. Based on this, it can be decided whether the scope item should be in scope.
  • High-level identification of deviations, e.g. the recommendation of possible deviations to be realized by the Extension Framework.
